Who Inspires You?

Who Inspires You?

You may have noticed that we’re growing in all sorts of ways here at ACB! This week, I went live on Instagram for the first time. Our Pinterest page is gaining a lot of attention.

More products are available on our website and we have more inventory in stock than ever before! All of this growth has me constantly looking for ideas for what to conquer next. Don’t get me wrong, it’s super stressful to try so many new things, but I get so inspired by you ladies and your comments.

Soph loves to help us get ready for a show!

You share with us the most amazing, uplifting, sometimes heartbreaking moments in your lives. When you tell us how our show or our clothes have brought you back to life, have made you feel beautiful again, have inspired you to be the best person you can be, that’s all the inspiration I need to keep climbing this mountain!

It’s easy to look at what we do and think it’s just shopping, that it’s just clothes and jewelry, or some other gimmick or something on Facebook. But it’s not! You all have shown me time again that we have something special here.

The multi-billion dollar fashion industry is proof that people find value in the way clothing, accessories, and make-up can impact our lives. On some level, yes, there’s a vanity to having the latest trends and shiny new things, but I think there’s something much deeper going on here.

The ladies that shop with us, that come back and hang out even when they know they won’t purchase something, or that share pics of their new favorites in the VIP, that tag their friends and share our videos, they all know that this is more than a shopping site.

So many of you were able to resonate with our blog “A Really Good Cup of Coffee.” You told us how hard it is to take time for yourselves in your busy lives. You shared with us that shopping at ACB or just watching our live shows was your “me time” and that we have inspired you in so many different outlets or aspects of your life.

I think it is incredibly important to acknowledge what inspires you, who pushes you to do more and be more than what you ever thought possible. So in addition to all of our wonderful customers, this week, I want to take a minute to both give credit and share some of my other inspirations.

1. God

I promise this is not the point in the blog where I beat religion into your head. But I would be doing a disservice to myself and my faith and if I didn’t mention what a big impact that has on my life. Regardless of your belief systems, if it’s something that you find comfort and revitalization from, make sure you’re taking the time to pursue it.

2. Rachel Hollis

It’s just interesting to me that someone you’ve never met and doesn’t even know you exist can have such a huge impact on the person that you have become. We’ve talked about her before and I even gave away copies of her books last week. But her no nonsense approach to teaching you how to pull yourself up by your bootstraps even when you want to wallow in self-pity is such an inspiration to me. We all have hard days, but it’s not a bad life. Choose to be happy.

3. Emily Benson

This one is probably very foreign to the majority of you. However, she is sort of boutique royalty. Her books on how to grow and scale a boutique and just how to run a business were so instrumental in my start-up. Luckily for me, she actually knows I exist! I got to meet her in person in Las Vegas at the Magic clothing show. I have to admit, I totally fangirled. And it’s not true what they say, you should totally meet your heroes. I loved every minute of it and it only motivated me more. Even if you’re not in the clothing business her Instagram stories and posts are incredibly inspirational!

4. My family

I’m going to get super cliché and a little emotional for a second. In case you haven’t noticed, the majority of the people working for me and with me are my family.

Kristy, Shawn, Samantha, and Val, and let’s face it, Danae, Tracy, and Megan are practically family anyway! Both of my moms. My dad who will occasionally pop on a live show just to cause chaos. I would not be the person or the entrepreneur I am today if it wasn’t for them. Not only do they listen to my complaints when I’m feeling down and my excitement when I’m having a great day, they support me 100%. I absolutely could not do this without them.

Photoshoot Day! (Danae, Me, Kristy, and Sam)

I am striving to renvision the shopping experience, to inspire my customers to love how they look, to choose happiness, to lift others up, as well as themselves. I appreciate each of you that have come along on this journey. And now, I want to know what or who inspires you? Maybe send them this blog and let them know how important they are to you.

Chic blessing Friends,

I just love your blogs you are a person that inspires me even if I can’t buy I love to watch all of you. you are all like my own family since I don’t have a whole lot of family. God inspires me and I look up to him to lead me in the way he wants me to go. I wish I had the money some day to Open my own small clothing and accent items. I would love it just not a huge amount of money. I also do have a small family that helps me through a lot of things also. I am going to continue to follow god and hopefully some day I can start my own business I have my own small page but I would love it to grow some day.

My biggest inspiration are my kids who are grown and my 2 grandkids. Why because my childhood was not a good one let’s be honest it was awful. I always said my kids would have a better life and I was hard on them but I couldn’t ask for any better. My daughter is an awesome mom . I’m so happy she’s able to provide my granddaughter Alexis a good life. Hillary my daughter went from high school to being a mother so fast . She works hard so Alexis can barrel race . She keeps her busy so influences from others don’t get Alexis off the right path . I always wondered if my kids were listening to me when I was raising them. Thank god they were. I could write a book about my kids . My love for them and my grand babies keep me alive. Without them I’m nothing. I hope this doesn’t sound corny . But I wrote what I felt.

I love this dedication to what keeps us going and inspires us! I have been plagued with a lot of health issues this past 3-4 years and there was a time where I just want it all to end it was so bad (however that would look like) I mean, I have never been suicidal but there were times where I asked for God to just call me home and let me out of the painful body…but I dove into the Word, looked at my husband and my 2 beautiful children who have given my life purpose and I managed to keep going day by day. “It is well with soul” was a song I had on repeat in my head during the dark times. I knew that no matter how bad I had it and how much pain I was in, there were others that had it worse.

My mother inspires me. Her strength is unbelieveable. He health is not good at all but she keeps fighting and is still there to be everyone elses rock. I dont know how she does it. I can imagine the pain she is in all the time and to be able to not let it stop her from being there for anyone and everyone is just amazing to me. I am trying to be that rock for her now that is is getting close to the end. I like to think of myself as strong but honestly i do not know if i have the strength to go on in this world without her by my side. I thank god every day for giving us one more day with her and I pray every night that i may get another. I just owe everything i am to her. She is my hero ever since i was younger i have always told her she was the wind beneath my wings

I love your confidence and personality. I wish I had half of that. It’s hard for me to be positive and confident in myself. But God and Jesus is my inspiration. It’s hard for me day to day some days are good some days are bad. But I will make it I keep pushing on. And also my inspiration is the ladies in the church my sisters in the Lord. And family. Keep up the good work thank you for your sweetness and goodness and caring for everyone. Watching you I feel like I know you. Thank you

One again Im loving your blog Ashley. My biggest inspiration is my mom even though she is no longer here with us she always told it like it was. I guess that’s how I’ve became such a strong women . I tend to do the same but sometimes it gets me into trouble. I miss my mom so much . She always had a smile on her face no matter what . Thanks mom for giving me life and a strong will to go out and be me.

My family is what has been keeping me going. 3 year’s ago we all got into a terrible car accident in Florida. A drunk driver hit us and ejected my husband, one of my son’s and myself from the truck on the interstate. My other 2 children we’re trapped inside the vehicle. That was one of the scariest days of my life but God must have been watching because my children had minor injuries but my face was a bad mess. I’ve had multiple surgeries on my face and dental work done and through it all my kids and my husband have been there even on days we’re I didn’t want to look in the mirror at myself. I am so thankful that we all made it through. And the 2nd person that inspires me is you Ashley! I look forward to your show every day and the way you treat all us women is priceless.

My biggest inspiration and hero is Mr. Al Staab. This man deserves the world since the world has been on his shoulders for over 20 years. His deceased wife got diagnosed with MS. Now let me tell you what a real man is because he’s at the top of the list. He has taken care of her and their children. Worked full time to support them. He not only works full time but takes care of everything at the house outside and inside. He would do her hair paint her nails. Never one day has he left her side or even looked for another companion. Through other rough patches as well he has held everything together. For this I hope and pray that the rest of this year brings him nothing but the best. He amazes me on how he’s always happy and a go getter. Thank you Uncle Al for being my inspiration.

1. My family is my biggest inspiration. My kiddos keep me going every day. At 38 I’m currently working full time and going back to school full time. Some days I want to give up but then I think no this is for my family. I also what to show my children to never give up when it gets hard, it will be worth it in the end. 2. ACB has given me my confidence back. I haven’t felt comfortable in my own skin for years but since shopping here I love the way I look and feel in these clothes. I live in a small town and plus size clothing is hard to find, so I love that I can get great quality clothing from the comfort of my home. I also love that ACB tries on everything. I have bought from some other on-line boutiques and get my stuff and its 3 time so small!! So thank you ACB for helping me feel beautiful!!

There are several women who inspire me. 1. Laura Caddell- She has been through so much and yet is so open to sharing her story for so many women to hear and feel loved in some of their hardest moments. She inspires me to share my story even when it is hard. 2. Janelle Villarreal- with her journey through a hard delivery that placed both her daughter and herself in the hospital where life was not guaranteed for either, she never gave up on God but leaned deep into him. She is bold in sharing with others. 3. Ashley- you inspire me to be confident in what my body looks like now. Your confidence as a plus size woman is inspiring. You inspire me to be confident in my current plus size state. In all honesty those that inspire me are more than I can write about in a comment. Those three are ones in my current state that come to mind.

I came across you ladies from a LIVE video someone had shared to a FB group a few weeks ago. I love watching while I am working on my own business, especially Ashley and Danae. Your personalities really come through, and I find myself laughing along side you guys more often than not. You guys have inspired me to make my own live FB videos. It is something I have considered for awhile, but needed to get over the fear of it all. After watching you guys and seeing how much fun ya’ll have, it inspired me to try. I’ll be making my 3rd one this week, and I must confess they are a little addicting. I find myself looking forward to time when I can go live. Who would have thought? LOL Thanks for being so positive, and real!

Ashley, My biggest inspiration come from sister. She took care of my grandma with Alzheimer’s for 4 years. She worked full time and did the kid activity’s. She was always their for her. When she passed it was one of the saddest days I yet to live. I was with her when you passed. It was beautiful and peaceful. You inspire me to love myself and wear whatever makes me comfortable and happy. I live with rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and now Crohn’s disease. So I’m all about comfy easy clothes. The way you say your weight and the clothes I would never dare wear you do with such confidence. I wish I had an Ounce of it. I thank you for sharing your life with us and getting to know us. Encouraging us out of our comfort zone. You’ll never know how grateful I’m am for finding ACB. Of course the last are my kids. Watching them grow and move on and take new adventures is amazing. At least that’s what I tell myself. All three of my kids are adults now (scary). I miss the noise but glad I have my grandson to distract me. Chic blessing my friend. I would love to meet you one day. Keep up the great work you do. 🥰🥰

I love this! I just stumbled upon your page on Facebook and got to catch the last live you just did. I’ve been searching all over for a cute boutique that carries plus size clothing, and have yet to find one that I love, but so far I’m loving yours! I just adore your personalities and how helpful you and Danae were! I am all registered now and look forward to purchasing with you soon!

For most of you who don’t know I have a special needs son. He was born as a bilateral of all four limbs. He has down to the elbows for arms and down to the knees for legs. Over these past 16 years yes he will be 16 in July I watch how he never lets his disability hold him back dose he get upset when there is something he can’t do on his own yes dose it stop him no but it might slow him down. This year for me is the hardest because most kids his age are getting learners permits and starting to drive but in his eyes he doesn’t see this as a challenge but little does he know I cry at night trying to figure out how am I going to make this happen and keep his life as close to a normal teenager as possible. That being said he inspires me everyday he never sees a challenge he sees it as one more thing I can conquer and have under my belt. And everyday he looks at me with his big smile and says mom it’s going to be ok. So when ever I’m having a bad day or feeling sorry for myself I think about him and say my life is not that bad and if he can do it so can I.

1. Hearing the word of God inspires me to do better and be better. My faith is very important to me, without it I wouldn’t be able to face each day. We were promised a life, it’s up to us to choose how we live it. 2. People with confidence also inspire me me. I’m 70 years old and for most of my life have had very little confidence. It’s just in the last few years that I’ve come to realize that most people don’t have as much confidence as they pretend to have. The old saying “Fake it till you make it” is true. If you do that you’ll exude confidence actually becoming more confident in yourself and it will show. 3. It’s going to sound strange but “some” people with life threatening or terminal illnesses inspire me just by the way they approach how they handle the illness or knowing they are dying. The ones that continue to live their “best” life should be an inspiration to all of us, I know they are to me.
